The Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics ( Russian Журнал Экспериментальной и Теоретической Физики , English: Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics ), abbreviated to JETP or ZhETP and ЖЭТФ, is the most important Russian journal. It is peer-reviewed and is published monthly in two languages ​​in a Russian and an English edition by MAIK Nauka / Interperiodica. The English edition is distributed by Springer-Verlag . She publishes articles from all areas of physics. The twelve issues per year appear in two volumes.

The journal for experimental and theoretical physics goes back to the Журнала Русского физико-химического общества from 1931. It has been translated into English since 1955. The area Letters of JETP was in a separate magazine called 1965 JETP Letters ( Russian Письма в ЖЭТФ , Pisma w ShETF outsourced).
