Newspaper book

Newspaper consisting of four books

Newspaper book or book for short is the name given to summarized newspaper pages that result from the individual folded printed sheets . In Switzerland , the term fascicle or colloquially Bund is used.

A newspaper usually consists of several newspaper books (from a certain number of pages, depending on the printing press) that are placed one behind the other and then folded again. Individual books are used, for example, to delimit categories (sports section, business section, feature pages, etc.) but also as special supplements, as an additional magazine in the newspaper or for PR and advertising purposes.

A modern web- fed newspaper printing machine produces several books in one pass at the same time, which then run out of the folder exit of the machine as newspapers or newspaper parts that have already been collated.
