Zemplínske vrchy (literally "Semplin Mountains", in Hungarian "Zemplény hegység") is a small mountain range in southeastern Slovakia on the border with Hungary and in the Tokaj wine region . It is a landscape unit of the geomorphological Mátra-Slanec area .

The highest mountain is called Rozhľadňa (469 m). An important river is called Roňava - this also forms the border with Hungary. Geologically, the mountains consist mainly of carbon sediments .
