The company sells a cloud-based customer support platform called Zendesk, which offers help desk ticketing, self-service and customer service support functions. history
The company was founded in 2007 by Mikkel Svane, Alexander Aghassipour and Morten Primdahl in Copenhagen . In 2008, Zendesk received start-up funding from business angel Christoph Janz of US $ 500,000 . After receiving $ 6 million in Series B funding from Charles River Ventures and Benchmark Capital , the company moved to San Francisco, California, to open its headquarters in 2009. In 2012, Zendesk received additional funding of $ 60 million for a total funding amount of $ 86 million. Zendesk went public in May 2014 on the New York Stock Exchange .

Zendesk
The software is based on Ruby on Rails , which is known for being able to integrate dozens of content management systems , customer relationship management tools and web apps. The Zendesk platform is also optimized for mobile devices and the Zendesk iPad app released in March 2013 . In December 2013, Zendesk announced integrations with SurveyMonkey and MailChimp to support surveys and email campaigns directly from Zendesk.
Help Center
The Help Center was presented in August 2013. This is an extension of the customer service platform that gives customers access to self-service options including a knowledge base, FAQs and community forums. Users can search for entries from the stored forums and knowledge databases via a central customer portal . The Help Center is designed with individual designs on Ruby on Rails and JavaScript .
