Zentgrafenstrasse

Zentgrafenstraßen are streets named after the office of the Centenarius or Zentgrafen. Originally it was a question of a leader of a hundred, elected by the people from the various Germanic tribes . Later these were high administrative officials appointed by the counts , e.g. B. Heads of central courts who, together with lay judges, also imposed death sentences.
