Central Revision Commission of the SED

The Central Revision Commission of the SED (ZRK for short) was a body of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) to control the financial system and the work of the party organs. It is not to be confused with the Central Party Control Commission (ZPKK).

tasks

The from III. The ZRK, created at the SED party congress in 1950, was responsible for monitoring the financial management and cash management of the Central Committee (ZK) as well as checking the handling of inputs to the ZK. Because of this limited jurisdiction, its practical importance was small compared to the ZPKK.

There were also revision commissions at the lower levels of the party and in the mass organizations of the GDR.

The ZRK was directly elected by the party congress in accordance with the SED statute. The on the XI. The Central Committee elected to the SED party congress consisted of 40 members and eight candidates.
