Zeppelin ZM 15 is the name of a series of wheeled excavators that originated from a joint venture between Sennebogen, Zeppelin and Caterpillar and was built by Sennebogen Maschinenfabrik GmbH in the 80s and 90s. It is not uncommon for the excavators to be seen at smaller construction companies even today.

Initially, an air-cooled five-cylinder diesel engine from Deutz with 62.1 kW (84.5 hp) served as the drive . The 2nd generation excavators from around 1990 were powered by a six-cylinder.

There were also the smaller ZM 12, ZM 13 and the larger ZM 19, with the designation indicating the operating weight. In the version with a chain drive, the excavator was called the Zeppelin ZR 15 .

The hydraulically adjustable articulated boom (GAUH) designed by Sennebogen and built into the excavators of this series was an innovation that is now standard for mobile excavators across all manufacturers.
