As zerebelläres Liponeurozytom a very rare is brain tumor called, the adults in the area of the cerebellum occurs. Neuropathologically , in addition to neuronal differentiation (as in neurocytoma ), lipomatous differentiation of the tumor cells is usually focal . After complete surgical removal, the prognosis is usually favorable. Since recurrences can occur, the tumor is classified as grade II according to the WHO classification of tumors of the central nervous system . Older synonyms are neurolipocytoma , medullococytoma , lipomatous medulloblastoma or lipomatous glioneurocytoma .
