Zettai Kareshi ( Japanese絶 対 彼 氏。The Absolutely Perfect Friend ) is a six-volume manga series by the Japanese comic artist Yuu Watase from 2003. It is about relationships and the idea of ​​the perfect dream man.

16-year-old Riiko Izawa has never had a boyfriend and is unhappy in love with her classmate Ishizeki. When she reports her feelings to him, he gives her an ice-cold basket. Riiko makes his way home sad.

As she walks through a park, she sees a cell phone lying on the ground that suddenly starts ringing. She picks up and a man answers the other end of the line. He wants to meet her. Riiko doesn't think about it for long and just makes a quick decision to go to the agreed meeting point. Once there, she meets a strangely dressed young man who introduces himself to her as Gaku Namikiri. Since she brought him his cell phone, he offers her purchases at special rates from his company "Kronos Heaven". He hands Riiko a disc that she should use to access the company's secret website.

At home, Riiko tries her luck and ends up on a page entitled Lover Shop . Gripped by curiosity, she looks around. She finds out that the lovers offered there are so-called "figures", a kind of robot that you can have programmed according to your own wishes. When she discovered that you can test such a "mail order friend" for three days free of charge, she was blown away and ordered one without further ado. The goods are delivered the next day. He turns out to be an attractive dream guy, just as she wanted it to be. After a few experiences and three exhausting days for Riiko and Night, as she called her boyfriend without further ado, the day has come when Night should be returned.

However, Gaku Namikiri congratulates her on buying Night and politely asks her to pay. This is 100 million yen. Riiko is shocked because she just wanted to test Night and doesn't know how to get that much money.

On condition that the details of their relationship are passed on to Kronos, she can continue to keep Night for free. But then her neighbor and good friend Riiko confesses his love.

In Japan, Zettai Kareshi is completed with six volumes. The German edition is published by EMA . All six volumes have now been published.

filming

The manga was filmed as a drama and aired from April 15 to June 24, 2008 on Fuji TV . The plot has been moved to a company and numerous other changes to the manga have been made. The actual plot about Nights and Riko's relationship has remained.
