Zeughausstraße is located in the southeast of downtown Wolfenbüttel and east of the Oker . It runs northwest from Lindener Straße to Am Wall street. The length of the street is about 200 meters. The numbering of the houses begins at the northeast end on Lindenstrasse and runs back in a horseshoe shape. Heimstättenweg goes south from Zeughausstraße. The zip code for Zeughausstraße is 38300.
An artillery barracks was built north of today's Zeughausstrasse from 1899. The city of Wolfenbüttel paid the costs for the barracks, and the barracks were an important economic factor for the city. Schools were built here from 1968, for example the Peter-Räuber-Schule, a school for learning support, north of Zeughausstrasse on the corner of Linden Strasse. Peter Räuber was a student at this school.
