Julien Ingrassia (born November 26, 1979 in Aix-en-Provence ) is a French rally driver. As Sébastien Ogier's co-driver, he became world champion for the fifth time in a row in 2017 .

Career

Julien Ingrassia began his career in the club-level rally scene in France in 2002 . His career continued in 2004 with a season in the Volant Peugeot 206 series, and it went one step higher in 2006 when he became co-driver of Sébastien Ogier . In 2008 the Junior World Champion title followed and they made their debut in the top class of the WRC with Citroën. In 2009 they drove in the young talent program of the French manufacturer Citroën and in 2010 they were promoted to the first works team, where the duo won their first WRC World Championship run in Portugal. In 2011 Ingrassia and Ogier won another five world championship rallies and they fought against Sébastien Loeb and his co-driver Daniel Elena for the world title. The world championship then went to Loeb.

Ingrassia followed Ogier to Volkswagen in 2012 , they signed a long-term contract. After a season in a Škoda Fabia Super 2000, which mainly served to get to know the individual events better, the pairing came back to victory in 2013 in a Volkswagen Polo R WRC and they became world champions in 2013 , 2014 and 2015 . In 2017 he switched to M-Sport and won two more World Cup titles in 2017 and 2018 , also with Sébastien Ogier .
