After eight special stages on the first day, Ogier was 6.6 seconds ahead of Latvala. Behind them Mikko Hirvonen / Jarmo Lehtinen with the Ford Fiesta from M-Sport. There were wet, muddy and slippery waits for the drivers. On the second special stage , Andreas Mikkelsen / Ola Floene (Volkswagen) braked too late after a hill, they slipped into a ditch and damaged the suspension. Mikkelsen then had to skip the six final exams. The duo will return to the rally on Saturday under the Rally 2 regulations .
Day 2 (Saturday, November 15th)
Jari-Matti Latvala slipped off the track while trying to narrow the gap to Ogier and lost around three minutes. He dropped from second to tenth place. Latvala was able to continue and then made up two positions. The fastest of the day was Andreas Mikkelsen . After the slip up the day before, he returned to the competition under the rally 2 regulations and completed five of the nine special stages of the day with the fastest time. Fourteen of the 17 special stages in Wales have so far gone to Volkswagen. Mikko Hirvonen won the 15th special and is in second place. After retiring at the end of 2014, the Hirvonen / Jarmo Lehtinen duo are aiming for a podium finish at the last rally in their career. After two days Sébastien Ogier / Julien Ingrassia led the rally by a clear margin. The old and new world champions managed their lead of around one minute and they didn't have to take any chances.
Day 3 (Saturday, November 16)

With sixth place, Nasser Al-Attiyah secured the title in WRC2 .
