The FIA - World Rally Championship in 2004 was in January 23, Monte Carlo started and ended on November 14 in Australia . A total of 16 world championship races were held on four continents. Sébastien Loeb and co-driver Daniel Elena became world champion for the first time . The Citroën Total World Rally Team won the second title in the Manufacturers' World Championship this season .
