Gilles Panizzi (born September 19, 1965 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin ) is a French rally driver .
Career
Panizzi drove for Peugeot from 1999 to 2003 and for Mitsubishi from 2004 to 2005 . In 2006 he drove as a private driver for Red Bull Škoda . His copilot was his brother Hervé. Panizzi was considered an absolute asphalt specialist and was mostly used accordingly by the teams. In the team competition of the ROC Nations' Cup , which was organized as an invitation- only tournament , he and his teammates Régis Laconi and Yvan Muller took first place in 2000 . In 2003, with Cristiano da Matta and Fonsi Nieto , Panizzi, this time starting in the All-Star Team , won the team competition atRace of Champions a second time.
