The 1982 World Rally Championship was the tenth World Rally Championship organized by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It was held in twelve races from January 16 to November 25. Audi won the brand championship. For the fourth time an official driver world champion was determined. The German Walter Röhrl won this with an Opel Ascona .
