Jimmy McRae (born October 28, 1943 in Lanark , Scotland ) is a British rally driver and the father of Alister and Colin McRae .

McRae won the British Rally Championship five times (1981, 1982, 1984, 1987 and 1988), finished 2nd in the 1982 European Rally Championship and as the best result in the World Rally Championship 15th place in the 1983 season. He entered between 1978 and 1989 in a total of 20 world championship rallies and secured 56 points and two podium places.

Today McRae has largely withdrawn from active motorsport, but still competes sporadically in classic car rallies and in the Scottish rally championship.
