Jean-Luc Thérier
Jean-Luc Thérier (born October 7, 1945 in Hodeng-au-Bosc ; † July 31, 2019 ) was a French rally and circuit racing driver .
Career
If a driver's world championship had already been held in the 1973 World Rally Championship , the title would have gone to Jean-Luc Thérier. The French Alpine works driver won the World Championship races in Portugal and Greece , as well as the San Remo rally , on an Alpine A110 . Thérier was the driver with the most points that year, but only the brand title was awarded in 1973.
In his long career, Thérier was able to win two more World Cup races. In 1974 he won the Press-on-Regardless in the USA on a Renault 17 Gordini and in 1980 he won the Tour de Corse on a Porsche 911SC .
He also competed four times in the Le Mans 24-hour race . The best placement was tenth overall in 1968.
