Dany Snobeck (born May 2, 1946 in Tomblaine ) is a former French rally and circuit racing driver .

Racing career

Rallying

Dany Snobeck was best known as a rally driver. He drove his first rallies in France in the early 1970s. At the Tour de France for automobiles in 1972 , he reached 11th place overall, making his first international appearance. His first podium followed in 1977 at the Rallye du Var , where he was third overall behind Guy Fréquelin ( Alpine A310 ) and Christian Lunel ( Porsche 911 Carrera ). Snobeck also drove a Porsche 911 Carrera, his co-driver was Maurice Gélin . At the Rallye du Var he achieved his first overall victory in 1982, which he achieved in a Renault 5 Turbo .
