The regulations prescribe a technical equality of all participating cars. The racing version of the Porsche 911 GT3 , which is equipped with standard tires from the manufacturer Michelin , is used. After several previous models, the current Porsche 997 GT3 Cup has been in use since the 2006 season. Changes to the team's vehicle are prohibited by the regulations and the vehicles are checked several times by the race stewards during a race weekend.

The championship of the Porsche Carrera Cup France is divided into two categories. Only professional pilots start in class A, while class B is reserved for private pilots. Regardless of the driver's classification, there is also a junior classification for pilots under 25 years of age. All drivers start together in the two championship races, each lasting 30 minutes on the race weekend. Before that, the starting positions of the races will be worked out in two qualifying sessions. Category A professionals have 10 minutes per session and category B drivers have 15 minutes. After each race, an award ceremony is held for the respective driver classification. In addition, all pilots up to 10th place receive championship points in their respective category. In addition, a point is awarded to the fastest driver in the race and for driving out of pole position . By the end of the year, up to 350,000 euros will be distributed to the drivers in the various classes.
