Sébastien Dumez

Sébastien Dumez (born June 27, 1974 in Le Raincy ) is a French racing driver .

Career in motorsport

Sébastien Dumez began his career in the French monoposto sport in 1984 . After starting out in Formula Renault and Formula Ford , he contested a full season in the French Formula 3 championship in 1998 , which he finished in seventh place in the overall standings (overall winner was team-mate David Saelens ). After further appearances in various Formula 3 championships in 1999, he switched to GT racing in 2000 .

By the end of the 2015 season he had competed in 82 races and celebrated four overall and seven class wins. In 2000 he finished second behind Christophe Bouchut in the Porsche Carrera Cup France and a year later won the overall standings in the French GT championship for Larbre Compétition . Overall victories in the national Carrera Cup followed in 2002 and 2003.

In international GT racing , Dumez was involved in the European Le Mans Series , competed twice in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and in 2001 in the 12 Hours of Sebring .
