Jean-Luc Chéreau
Jean-Luc Chéreau (born August 25, 1948 in Avranches ) is a French entrepreneur and former racing driver .
Entrepreneur
At the beginning of the 1950s, Jean-Luc Chéreau's father founded a company in his home town of Avranches that manufactures refrigerated bodies for trucks . After the son took over the company, one of the largest builders in Europe emerged. In 2015, 905 employees at three locations in Normandy achieved sales of 171 million euros. 3371 vehicles with bodies were delivered.
Career in motorsport
Jean-Luc Chéreau was active in GT racing as a sponsor and driver. Between 1994 and 2002 he was one of the financiers at Larbre Compétition . He was also associated with the team as a driver for many years. He drove in the BPR Global GT Series , the FIA GT Championship and in various French racing series. Between 1994 and 2006 he competed in 71 races and celebrated three class wins in addition to one overall win. He contested the Le Mans 24-hour race nine times . His best place in the overall ranking was 10th in 2001 .
