The Rally Japan was staged six times between 2004 and 2010 as a World Rally Championship (WRC).

Rally Japan was a rally competition in Hokkaidō , Japan . The event has been an FIA World Rally Championship run since its inception in the 2004 season . From 2004 to 2007 the rally was driven on the winding and narrow gravel roads of the region near Tokachi Obihiro . For the 2008 season , the event was moved to the region near Sapporo , the capital Hokkaidō. The Rally Japan was not held in 2009 , but returned to the world championship calendar in 2010 .
