Jarmo Lehtinen (born January 3, 1969 ) is a Finnish rally co-driver. He became known as the co-driver of Mikko Hirvonen in the World Rally Championship .

Life

Jarmo Lehtinen lives with his wife Tanja in Lahti . His co-pilot career began in 1988 at the side of his friend Jari Mikkola . He later took part in the Finnish rally championship as co-driver for Marko Ramanen . In 1997 he made his debut in the World Rally Championship at Rally Finland . In 1999 he started together with Ramanen in the British rally championship and accompanied Jouni Ampuja in the Finnish rally championship in Group N. He worked with Ampuja for another two years until he joined Toni Gardemeister in the 2002 World Rally Championship drove. Since 2003 he has formed a team with Mikko Hirvonen . From 2004 to 2005 the duo drove in the Subaru and again in the Ford since 2006.

successes

Lehtinen celebrated his first victory in the World Rally Championship in 2006 at the Rally Australia . So far (2011) the duo has taken 14 World Rally Championship victories , all of them in the Ford World Rally Team .
