Likewise Østberg, he hit a rock and ripped off a wheel. Until the last special stage of the day the lead changed again between Latvala and Ogier, on Friday evening Latvala was ahead. Mikkelsen (Volkswagen) had problems with the power steering, Neuville and Sordo also had technical problems (both Hyundai). They had to park the cars. On Saturday, the retired will start again according to the rally 2 regulations .

3rd day (Saturday, May 10th)

Up to SS 8 the two leaders exchanged blows for the lead. After nine special stages, Latvala was able to pull out a lead of around 30 seconds on Ogier. Kris Meeke (Citroën) was already 3.41 minutes behind after the third day.

4th day (Sunday, May 11th)

After 14 special stages, Latvala was the winner of the Argentina Rally . World champion Ogier could only congratulate Latvala after his impeccable performance. In the World Cup, Latvala narrowed his gap to Ogier to 24 points. Kris Meeke finished third, the second podium for the Citroën works driver this year.

“It's not bad to get 21 points here. I only lost five on Jari. So in relation to the World Cup, that was really not bad. "
