Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari (born November 13, 1979 in Doha ) is a rally driver from Qatar . He made his World Rally Championship (WRC) debut at Rally Greece 2012 , winning a world championship point in tenth.

Career

Al-Kuwari's father and grandfather already competed in rallies, and that's how Abdulazis Al-Kuwari got into rallying. He competed for the first time in 2000 when he borrowed a Nissan Patrol from Sheikh Hamad Bin Eid Al Thani, a member of the Qatari ruling family, and competed in three national rallies in Qatar. In 2003 Al-Kuwari took the next step and drove in the Middle East Rally Championship with its own Group-N Mitsubishi Lancer . The following seven seasons he gained experience in the MERC and the Qatari championship, the latter he won in 2011. Between 2012 and 2015 , Al-Kuwari drove alternately in the WRC and in the WRC2 . His best rankings have been tenth in Greece, Australia and Spain in 2012 and 2013 . In the WRC2 he was runner-up in 2013 with five podium places, of which he won three times.
