Reports

Day 1 (Thursday, February 7th)

After the start in Karlstad , Sébastien Loeb led half a second ahead of Evgeny Novikov .

Day 2 (Friday, February 8th)

The Rally Sweden was only really launched on the second day. Ogier wins five of six special stages and took the lead with a 32.2 second lead over Sébastien Loeb . Loeb and Latvala fought for second place, Østberg is getting closer and closer to them. Hirvonen got stuck in the snow in the morning and the same thing happened in special stage six Dani Sordo , both of whom lost a lot of time.

3rd day (Saturday, February 9th)

On Saturday, too, Ogier set three fastest times and was clearly ahead of compatriot Loeb. Loeb also won three special stages, but once ended up in the ditch for a short time because he missed the braking point before a hairpin bend. As a result, he hit a snow wall in SS 14 and damaged the bumper. Mads Østberg passed Jari-Matti Latvala and was now on a podium. Evgeny Novikov drove flawlessly and took 5th place. Thierry Neuville overtook his brand colleague Juho Hänninen because he drove into a snowy hill in the last special stage of the day.

4th day (Sunday, February 10th)

Volkswagen already won the second World Championship round of the season after making its debut in the World Rally Championship in Monte Carlo. The surprise succeeded with a lead of 41.8 seconds over Loeb. Ogier also won the power stage and got 46 points in the drivers' standings and took the lead. Mads Østberg was third on the podium in Sweden. Evgeny Novikov overturned on the special stage Kirkener 2 and slipped from 5th place to 9th place. Dani Sordo hit a rock in the penultimate special stage and slipped off the road, so Sordo had to end the rally.
