The 10th Rally Mexico lasted from March 7th to 10th, 2013. A total of 23 special stages were driven on gravel.

Qualification (Thursday, March 7th)

Mikko Hirvonen won the qualification ahead of Evgeny Novikov , he was the first to choose his starting number for the first special stage on Friday, it was number 13.

Day 1 (Friday, March 8th)

After the first two short special stages, Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen Polo R) was in the lead. After that was Thierry Neuville forward, but fell back in the afternoon to place fourth Mads Østberg (Ford Fiesta RS) came in second, while Dani Sordo (Citroën DS3 WRC) was not at all satisfied with his daily performance and was fifth. Jari-Matti Latvala drove over a stone in the first special stage, a wishbone broke and Latvala was eliminated. He started again on Saturday thanks to the Rule 2 regulations . Mikko Hirvonen was in third place, 10.7 seconds back. Chris Atkinson damaged a bike and lost 21 minutes with the Citroën DS3. Co-driver Ilka Minor had no luck in her hundredth rally (driver Evgeny Novikov). A stone hit the underbody and damaged the car's electronics.

Day 2 (Saturday, March 9th)

Despite a locked gate (co-driver Ingrassia had to get out and open it), Ogier led the rally with 1:08 minutes ahead of Hirvonen, who had a tire damage in SS 18. Before special stage 15, Østberg had electrical problems and had to start the rally to give up. Neuville struggled with a defective steering and spun, nevertheless at the end of the day he was in third place, but already 2:44 minutes behind Ogier. Benito Guerra drove a rally for the first time in the WRC category and was in seventh place overall. In the short super stage (1.23 km) in the evening, Mikko Hirvonen was the fastest ahead of Sébastien Ogier. Evgeny Novikov returned to the top 10 after the problems on Friday.

3rd day (Sunday, March 10th)

Because of the locked gate on Saturday, Ogier received a time credit of 40 seconds on Sunday. Hirvonen secured second place in front of Thierry Neuville, who braked before a tight bend and briefly came off the road. Neuville lost around 20 seconds to Hirvonen in this mishap. Ogier won the power stage, securing an additional 3 World Championship points. The other points went to Østberg, who resumed the rally on Sunday, and to Latvala. Ogier won the Rally Mexico with 3:26 minutes ahead of Hirvonen . Benito Guerra finished his home rally in eighth place.
