Sheikh Khalid Al Qassimi ( Arabic خالد القاسمي, DMG Ḫālid al-Qāsimī ; * February 18, 1972 ) is a rally driver from Abu Dhabi .

Career

Al Qassimi's real career began in 2002 when he took part in various local rally events in Abu Dhabi. In 2004 he won the FIA Middle East Rally Championship and also started for the first time in the PWRC, which took place as part of the World Rally Championship. In the course of the 2007 season he got the opportunity to compete in the WRC and drove for the BP-Ford World Rally Team. In 2009 he won his first world championship points and achieved his best result so far at the Rally Greece, where he finished sixth overall. In 2011 , Al Qassimi competed in the World Rally Championship with a Ford Fiesta RS WRC for Team Abu Dhabi. At the 2011 Rally Australia he improved his best result to date with fifth place overall.
