Reports

Day 1 (Friday, April 27th)

Petter Solberg (Ford) took the lead in the first special stages of the rally . Second place went to Dani Sordo , driving a Ford (otherwise MINI) in Argentina , because Jari-Matti Latvala broke his collarbone while skiing. Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) made a mistake in choosing tires and was eighth after the first special stages. Since the track was slippery after rain, there were numerous spins. Ott Tänak and Evgeny Novikov (both Ford) reached their destination with a puncture from the 2nd special stage. Despite a spin, Loeb came within 1.9 seconds of Solberg. In the 3rd special stage Loeb stumbled and lost 20 seconds, he fell back to fourth place. At the time, Mikko Hirvonen (Citroën) was in second place ahead of Sordo. On the 4th special stage, the leader Solberg had to park his car because of a broken tie rod, he started again on Saturday in accordance with the rally 2 regulations . Likewise Thierry Neuville (Citroën), who rolled over and drove on, then had to give up due to a brake defect. Loeb got faster and faster, won the 5th special stage and took the lead from team-mate Hirvonen (+1.1 seconds).

Day 2 (Saturday, April 28th)

At the front, team-mates Loeb and Hirvonen fought for the lead. In the evening Loeb was in the lead with 2.1 seconds. Dani Sordo and Mads Østberg (Ford) followed in third and fourth place.

3rd day (Sunday, April 29th)
