Reports

Day 1 (Friday, September 14th)

Petter Solberg (Ford) started the Rally Great Britain with two fastest times. Jari-Matti Latvala drove faster in the four subsequent special stages and stayed as the leader of the overall standings. This time Sébastien Loeb in the Citroën had no chance against the Ford factory drivers , he lost over 21 seconds on Latvala.

Day 2 (Saturday, September 15)

Jari-Matti Latvala hardly made any mistakes on the second day and led the rally with over 24 seconds on Solberg. Loeb fought for second place with Solberg and was just 6.4 seconds behind after 13 special stages. Mads Østberg (Ford) was third ahead of Mikko Hirvonen (Citroën).

Day 3 (Sunday, September 16)

As in the previous year, Latvala won the Rally Great Britain (Wales). Loeb passed Solberg and finished second. With a 62 world championship point lead over teammate Hirvonen, Loeb could hardly take the world championship win, although three rallies were still outstanding in the 2012 season. Hirvonen was fifth behind Østberg, who finished fourth despite technical problems.
