The Rally Great Britain was the thirteenth and final round of the 2010 World Rally Championship . It took place November 11-14, 2010 and was driven around the Welsh city of Cardiff .

Race report

The Citroën drivers Sébastien Loeb and Petter Solberg had fought an exciting duel for victory in Wales . Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) also fought until Saturday morning, but fell out after a rollover. From then on, Loeb and Solberg negotiated the rally among themselves. Both were not spared mistakes on the slippery and damp gravel roads. Loeb started the four special stages of the final day with a lead of almost five seconds over Solberg. Already in the first special stage of Sunday he extended his lead to over eleven seconds, at lunch break it was over 14 seconds. In the third corner of the penultimate stage, Solberg went off the track and again lost a little time. After that, he decided to secure second place and didn't attack again. At the finish, after 20 special stages, Loeb had 19.1 seconds ahead of Solberg.

In the Production Car World Championship (PWRC), the old and new champion was Armindo Araújo . The Mitsubishi driver finished on the podium in all rallies this season, taking three wins, two second and one third place. At the final in Wales Patrik Flodin had the chance to intercept Araujo. When Flodin lost a wheel on his car on Saturday, Araujo had it in hand to secure the title. A day later, the Portuguese won the second PWRC title. Despite Ott Tänak's victory , Araujo was enough to finish second.

The decision in the SWRC, which was held for the first time, was dramatic . Here the title contenders were Jari Ketomaa , Xevi Pons and Patrik Sandell . When Ketomaa retired after an accident on Sunday morning, the way was clear for Pons to become the first SWRC world champion. Third place behind the winner Andreas Mikkelsen and Craig Breen was enough for him .
