The Rally Turkey was the fourth round of the 2010 World Rally Championship . It took place from April 16th to 18th and was held near Istanbul . Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) won for the third time this season.

Race report

Sébastien Loeb (Citroën) won the Rally Turkey and thus celebrated the third victory in a row of the current season. Although he had a clear lead of 54.5 seconds over the overall runner-up Petter Solberg (Citroën) at the finish , the rally was only decided in the last, extremely difficult stages on the afternoon of the last day. The special stages 18 and 19 had to be canceled. Some of the ground for these tests was not made of gravel but of clay. It had rained that night and that turned the streets into slushy slides. That was too dangerous for the organizers. Third place went to Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen, who was third 48.9 seconds behind Solberg. Loeb extended the lead in the world championship table to Petter Solberg by 40 points.

The rally was also the start of the Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC). Aaron Burkart (Suzuki) won his first rally in the WRC junior class, despite technical problems with the power steering.
