Reports

Day 1 (Thursday, November 10th)

There were three special stages on the first day. Sébastien Ogier (Citroën) crashed into a wall after 1.6 kilometers in the first special stage and damaged the front suspension. Ogier started again on Friday according to the Rally 2 regulations. The winner of the day was Sébastien Loeb (Citroën), 0.7 seconds ahead of Mikko Hirvonen (Ford).

Day 2 (Friday, November 11th)

World Championship contender Hirvonen had an accident in thick fog on the seventh special stage and damaged the radiator, among other things. He lost almost four minutes to world championship leader Loeb. In the evening, Loeb was 17.7 seconds ahead of Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) and Mads Østberg (Ford). In fourth place was Petter Solberg (Citroën), who lost more than a minute after a puncture. Ford announced the Hirvonen Fiesta was beyond repair. Loeb was world champion for the eighth time in a row.

3rd day (Saturday, November 12th)

Loeb was able to increase its lead over the competition on special stages 12 to 14. Solberg had to finish the rally in fourth place after a defect in the fuel pump. Kimi Raikkonen was in seventh place. After an accident in the ditch, he lost around 21 minutes. Latvala continued to pursue Loeb and was only 7.3 seconds behind on Saturday evening.

4th day (Sunday, November 13th)

Between the link between the 18th and 19th special stages, the new world champion Sébastien Loeb was involved in an accident by a wrong-way driver. Everyone involved was uninjured, but the Citroën DS3 WRC was so badly damaged that it was impossible to continue driving. After 23 special stages, Jari-Matti Latvala (Ford) stood on top of the podium for the first time in the 2011 season. In addition to the winner Latvala, Mads Østberg came in second and Henning Solberg in third.
