Reports

Day 1 (Thursday, May 26th)

The rally started with a short special stage of 3.02 kilometers, in which Sébastien Loeb set the fastest time.

Day 2 (Friday, May 27th)

On the following day some fast asphalt sections were covered. The fastest was Jari-Matti Latvala , who already took the lead in the morning and secured four best times in a row. Loeb, on the other hand, received a penalty minute because he accidentally checked in too early for the time control before SS 4. After the second day, Latvala was 18.2 seconds ahead of Petter Solberg and 28.8 seconds ahead of Sébastien Ogier . Loeb was already around a minute and a half away from the lead.

3rd day (Friday, May 28th)

On the third day, Loeb started a race to catch up. Latvala lost ground with his unfavorable first starting position. A broken strut cost him over 20 seconds on SS 13, whereupon Ogier took the lead. Finally Latvala finally had to give up on SS 14. Petter Solberg lost his chances of winning on SS 15 with a defective power steering, because of which he lost around a minute. In the evening, Ogier had a comfortable 43.7 second lead over the closest pursuer. Mikko Hirvonen was now in second place, only four seconds behind him was Loeb.

4th day (Saturday, May 29th)

On the third day, Latvala started again under the SupeRally regulations , with ten penalty minutes. Another turn at the top brought the 48.21 kilometer SS 16, Ogier rolled over. He was able to continue with the badly damaged car, his lead shrinking to 21.5 seconds. Loeb meanwhile pushed past Hirvonen and was in second place. With the damaged vehicle, Ogier could no longer keep up with the pursuers and was passed on in third place on the last special stage, behind Loeb and Hirvonen. Contrary to expectations, Loeb managed to win after the time penalty. The bonus points on the power stage went to Petter Solberg, Hirvonen and Loeb. The PWRC classification was won by Hayden Paddon . 27 vehicles were rated.
