Accordion effect
The accordion effect is understood to mean:
- Concertina effect (wage spread) , a term coined by Hans-Werner Sinn, with which he attributes unemployment among low-skilled workers in Germany to the problem of high wage costs
- Concertina effect (traffic) , a cause of congestion in critical traffic density, in which flowing traffic comes to a standstill due to the constant acceleration and braking of the cars in a column.
