Scraper steel

The scraper steel is a tool for sharpening scraper blades . It is used to create a burr on the edges of the scrapers by painting over them with pressure.

A scraper steel consists of a metal rod made of hardened steel on a handle . Round, oval and triangular steels are available. The latter are intended to accelerate the formation of burrs, but also result in an unclean burr.
