Heinz Untermann (born April 28, 1948 in Vippachedelhausen ; † April 2, 2018 ) was a German politician ( FDP ) and a member of the Thuringian state parliament from 2009 to 2014 .

Career

Untermann joined the LDPD in 1967 . Since 1975 he has been a member of the municipal council of his place of residence Großneuhausen , where he was temporarily deputy mayor.

In 2000 Untermann became district chairman of the FDP in the Sömmerda district and had been the leader of the FDP parliamentary group in the district council there since 2004. He was a member of the state board of the FDP Thuringia. When the FDP succeeded in returning to the state parliament after 15 years in the state elections in Thuringia in 2009 , Untermann was elected to 6th place in the state list. There he was a member of the Petitions Committee and the Prison Commission. In the state elections in 2014 , the FDP left the state parliament, which meant that Untermann, who was again running at number 6 on the FDP state list, lost his mandate. Since 2017 he was honorary chairman of the FDP district association Sömmerda.

Heinz Untermann was an independent innkeeper in Sömmerda . He was widowed and the father of two daughters.
