The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange , or ZSE , is the official stock exchange of Zimbabwe . It has been open to foreign investment since 1993. There are two indices, the Zimbabwe Industrial Index and the Zimbabwe Mining Index .

history

The first exchange in Zimbabwe was opened in Bulawayo in 1896. However, this was only active for six years, while in Gweru and Mutare other stock exchanges enabled securities trading. After the Second World War, in 1946, trading resumed in Bulawayo. In 1951 an offshoot was created in Salisbury.
