Indoor gymnastics
In the 19th century, indoor gymnastics was the term used to describe regular physical exercises , provided they can be performed in living rooms without a lot of equipment . It can be performed partly as pure therapeutic gymnastics and partly because of a general lack of exercise .
The gym usually consisted of calisthenics while standing or lying down, and the weight - and staff exercises u. Ä.
Of the devices that can be used for indoor gymnastics, the so-called Bacon apparatus was considered to be the most versatile , which could serve partly as a pair of swing rings for slope and support, partly as a horizontal bar .
