Zincates

The term zincate stands for the substance group of theoretical oxo and hydroxo acids of the chemical element zinc . These arise when the amphoteric zinc hydroxide is dissolved in an excess of alkali hydroxide (e.g. sodium hydroxide ). The anions belonging to the acids can be detected .
