Interest rate option

Interest rate options are derivatives and belong to the group of options . They refer to options on interest-bearing underlyings in general.

Interest rate options traded over the counter include interest rate caps and interest rate floors (and collars) as well as swaptions and bond options . As exchange-traded products, there are options on interest rate futures , i.e. on money market futures, on bund futures, etc.
