Right of citation

The right of a parliament or its committees to be able to request the appearance of the head of government or a minister in the plenary session or before the committees is referred to as the right of quotation .

In Germany , Article 43 (1) of the Basic Law regulates that the Bundestag and its committees can request the presence of any member of the Federal Government. The resolution requires a majority in the Bundestag.
