The elephant house is the oldest object in Liberec Zoo. It was built in 1972. The monkey house was built in 1995 and is the home of the largest chimpanzee breeding in the Czech Republic. Construction of the tropical house began in June 1998 and was officially opened two years later. It has become a home for many typical representatives of the tropical rain forests in Africa, Central and South America, Indomalaysia and Australia. A pavilion for the flamingos including the enclosure was opened in December 2003. The predator house is home to lions and Bengal tigers. There is also a penguin enclosure and bird of prey aviaries.
An approx. 2 km long circular path leads through the zoo grounds.
