Life

Leopoldine Kutzel was a popular Viennese folk singer who, through her humorous hits, “It just doesn't stand up to a healthy nature”, “Should i laugh or wana?”, “Something like that can't happen to me!”, “Listen Open up, otherwise I have to laugh! ”And above all through her song“ I am not from Podiebrad, not even a trace, I am a harbe Weanerin full of Hamur ”was popular and famous:“ The deceased was one of the most popular folk singers at the time . She performed with Louise Montag and [Edmund] Guschelbauer , Josefine Gallmeyer and Alexander Girardi . "

Around 1885/86 she took a six-month break from the stage after the birth of her daughter. In May 1886 she returned to the stage, which she turned her back on at the end of 1888 after her marriage to the child's father, the Viennese Stellfuhrwerk entrepreneur Leopold Zehetgruber, which had been announced in 1885 .

The Zehetgrubers are important for the tourism history of the Kamptal - Sommerfrische Gars because they built two summer villas in 1895 and 1903, some of which they lived in and some of which they rented to summer guests. After they were sold and converted into pensions, the villa, Gars No. 118 ("Pension Lindner", later "Waldpension Lindner", later "Waldpension") and the neighboring villa, Gars No. 147 ("Phönixheim") were among the most important Garser hotel businesses .

Leopoldine Kutzel was buried on December 23, 1935 at Hietzinger Friedhof (group 14, number 63).
