Zoomify
Zoomify is an application often used by archives to provide high resolution digitized material on the website.
The provider is Zoomify Inc, headed by David Urbanic, based in Santa Cruz , California. Among other things, it offers the "Zoomify HTML5 Express" software package for website operators.
The advantage is that the picture on tiled rendering (English tiles) is represented faster, as only one respective single cutout is provided for the screen. A constant connection via the Internet to the provider is required. For the user, however, the entire image is not available in higher or highest resolution.
There are instructions on how to access the high-resolution image. Dezoomify is one of the online services for downloading the complete files .
