Zou Yan
Zou Yan ( Chinese 鄒衍 / 邹衍 , Pinyin Zōu Yǎn , approx. 305-240 BC) was a Chinese philosopher from the Warring States period . He was a member of the Jixia Academy ( Chinese 稷下 學 宮 / 稷下 学 宫 , Pinyin Jìxià Xúegōng ) in the ancient state of Qi , the spiritual center of the Chinese world at that time.
Zou tried to combine the teaching of Yin and Yang with the five-element teaching (wuxing).
