Thin sugar juice , or thin juice for short , is an intermediate product in sugar production from sugar beet.

After the beets have been accepted in the sugar factory, they are chopped up and boiled with water and, if necessary, additives . This extract from the sugar beet pulp is the thin sugar juice and contains approx. 14% raw sugar . This is the precursor to sugar syrup , from which the sugar is later crystallized.
