Syrup

Sugar syrup , or syrup for short, is an intermediate product in sugar production from sugar beet .

The thin juice (approx. 16% dry matter) is the end product of the juice purification. As soon as this has been concentrated in 4 to 6 stages to 70 to 75% dry matter, it is the syrup. The next step in sugar production is crystallization.
