Allocated frequency band

Allocated frequency band ( English assigned frequency band ) is - in accordance with Article 1147 of the ITU Radio Regulations (Radio Regulations) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) - defined as " frequency band within which the (radio) transmission of a radio station is permitted; the width of the frequency band is equal to the required bandwidth , increased by twice the absolute value of the frequency tolerance . For space stations , the assigned frequency band is twice the maximum Doppler shift that can result with respect to any point on the earth's surface. "

This is also a special term used in frequency management that is usually used in connection with the allocation of a radio frequency or a frequency channel.
