Suppliers , also called sub- suppliers , are those entrepreneurs and companies that deliver the parts for the production process. The economic sector is specifically used to denote all companies that do not manufacture any finished products themselves. From the point of view of production planning, the entirety of the suppliers and their suppliers is called the supply chain . In modern production, the supplied parts usually make up a large part of both the entire product and the added value . The supply chain is generally extremely complex and branches out internationally, which is a major challenge in quality management .
